LABORATORY of Hydrostatic Transmissions with Energy Recovery

The object of the laboratory:
In this laboratory research is performed in the field of hydrostatic transmission, in order to optimize them with a view to functional and energetic efficiency.
Also, the laboratory performs a range of verification and functional tests, static and dynamic, in accordance with:
standard SR ISO 4409:1999-Fluid power - Pumps, motors, and volume variating devices – determination of functional parameters;
standard SR EN 61298-4:2000-Measuring and control of industrial processes-Methods and procedures for assessing performance;
harmonized European standard SR EN 982/2001 SR: 2001 - Security of equipment - Requirements related to the hydraulic and pneumatic actuation systems and their components

Fields of proficiency:
The laboratory is proficient in the field of rotating hydrostatic transmission, with or without recovery systems for energy, which are included in fixed equipment (industrial) and mobile equipment (hauled vehicles and motor vehicles), including their subsystems, for which the following verification and functional tests are performed :
verification and functional tests, static and dynamic;
simulations of specific schemes of work for various equipments;
tests for determining performance parameters of various sub-components of the systems / equipment that use a hydrostatic transmission for conveyance of actuation or propulsion power.

The laboratory infrastructure:
Laboratory of hydrostatic transmission has an appropriate space, specially arranged to run in good condition its specific activities.
The installation of lighting and air conditioning installation ensure good working conditions for the operating staff.
Sources of electricity, the voltage of 220 V and 380 V, supplies power for the hydrostatic transmission testing stands in the laboratory, and various appliances, devices and hydraulic blocks, filtration groups, etc.

Presenting the testing stand for hydrostatic transmission and systems to recover energy
The solution adopted for the testing stand for hydrostatic transmission and systems to recover energy, has been a simulation of working, starting and braking schemes for motor vehicles, based on electro hydraulic actuation equipment.
The testing stand consists of the following parts:
the testing unit, composed of a load device, hydraulic machine and a torque and speed transducer to simulate the testing regimes;
the hydraulic actuation block, with a subsystem for storage and conditioning the working fluid, consisting of an oil tank equipped with temperature control device, a pumping group, actuation pump and hydraulic blocks;
the acceleration unit, composed of a hydraulic motor, torque transducer and an electro pump with variable speed, which form a simulation subsystem engine thermal actuation;
transmission shaft, which makes a mechanical connection between the two simulated actuation systems, the thermal system and the hydraulic one;
the subsystem for accumulation fluid under pressure, composed of two hydro pneumatic accumulators;
electronic and automation equipment of the stand, composed of electrical control subsystem for the operation and testing schemes.
