Research directions
of the Laboratory of Environmental Protection:
1. Monitoring water quality of irrigation sources with data transmission
via GSM at dispatcher point;
2. Technical solutions to capitalize rainfall water for irrigation
in greenhouses;
3. System for measuring parameters of air pollution in samples
from air infested with exhaust gases (i monitoring micro station
type Environment SA - France for CO, NO, NO2, NOx, optical analyzer
for powder in suspension, portable, type DUST TRAK 8520 - TSI
(USA); SO2 analyzer (Environment SA - France)
4. Installations of drop irrigation, with automatic operation,
for greenhouses;
5. Testing systems for soil and water quality
6. Monitoring the chemical structure of groundwater water in areas
vulnerable to pollution;
7. Modular laser systems for the actuation of the operating parts
in navvy equipment type DOZER and GRADER, to perform leveling
with controlled slope in an automatic operation;
8. Stand for testing in laboratory conditions modular laser systems
(hydraulic servo mechanism for adjusting position with laser feedback),
which contains two servo cylinders: one that simulates random
profiles of uneven ground, the other (upon which are mounted modular
system components), which simulates operation of the navvy equipment
blades during the automatic operation when performing leveling
in accordance with an optical reference plane, horizontal or inclined);
9. Participation in patented solutions and proprietary research
conducted by other laboratories:
a) self emptying outfit for water supply pipes;
b) hydraulic measurements to determine several specific sizes
(roughness, wall thickness, flow of absorbing drain pipe, hydraulic
parameters of pump stations, temperature (water, air), the depth
of phreatic water.
